South Dakota | ATV Trails | Dirt Bike Track/Trail | Snowmobile Trails | ATV Trails: Black Hills National Forest: The Black Hills National forest Offers miles and miles of roads open for ATVing as well as one trail through the Black Hills National Forest. That is the 111 mile Centennial Trail (aka Trail #89) that runs from Bear Butte in the north to Wind Cave in the south. This is a great trail but motorized vehicles are only allowed on the trail from Dalton Lake to Pilot Knob trailheads. There are still very many miles of roads open to ATVing but South Dakota has many laws for ATV so for more information visit state.sd.us.

Snowmobile Trails: Coteau Des Praire Trail: The Coteau Des Praire Trail is a 381-mile trail that is the central hub of the eastern trail system, and features a 500-acre play area and warming shelter at Pelican Lake Recreation area. Stop-over communities include Watertown, Castlewood, Estelline, Brookings, Clear Lake and Arlington.
